# Advanced Search

**On the KCI News news sites we have implemented an Advanced Search page.**

This functionality offers the visitor a quick and easy way to filter content on a news site. You can access the Advanced Search page at the following URL: https:///advanced-search. For example [**https://stainless-steel-world.net/advanced-search**.](https://stainless-steel-world.net/advanced-search.)

This Advanced Search is only usefull with sites with a lot of (news) content and we don't use it for example on the KCI Event sites.

The Advanced Search is available in the navigation through the top black menu 'Advanced Search' and through the sidebars in the categories, there's a button Advanced Search.

The Advanced Search is a so called Live Search; the results appear once you start typing in the search box.

Next to that the visitor can select several options like generic filters (where to search, in title, excerpt or content), in one or more categories and you can select a date range.
